Overlooks historic Tofte Pier
Historic Tofte Pier, as seen from the decks. Steamer America docked here before there were roads. Fun to watch and listen as huge waves crashing over the pier.
View of the great room from near the entry area. This no-hotel-look ambience, unique at the resort, is the result of owners’ freedom to make it really feel personal.
View of the great room’s fireplace. The modern, safe gas fireplace flames dance from stones and colorful glass. The “gear garage” to the right offers handy drawers.
We pay tribute to the SS Edmund Fitzgerald in a handsome signed print above the cedar mantel. It’s another example of no-hotel-look, free-choice owner decorating.
Nothing quite compares to simply relaxing in contemplation, with a cup of Harney tea or a Keurig-brewed cup of coffee, in front of a modern, safe gas fireplace.
From the great room you can easily step out to one of the decks to enjoy the sounds of the Lake, lakeshore breezes, and a commanding view of Historic Tofte Pier.
Our *Premium Home* Lake views are always captivating; but the occasional sightings of the huge ore boats can be especially memorable. Bring the binocular.
View of the great room from the loft bedroom. Designed to be comfy, warm and inviting. This unique owner-home ambience is not found elsewhere at the resort.
View of the great room from the dining area. So much to appreciate… the no-hotel-look atmosphere and the lounging seat at the picture window for Lake-gazing.
We pay tribute to the steamship America in an historic photo (right) and contemporary art. Years ago the America regularly stopped at the Historic Tofte Pier outside.
Leave the hubbub behind and keep eyes open. Plan to commune with the outdoors and take home memories from Lakeshore and from trails in the nearby forests.
No-hotel-look… we’ve been free to choose our own unique decors. We get nice reviews for the warm, northwoodsy feel of the *Premium Home* bedroom linens.
Viewing the master bedroom from this angle suggests: Enjoy the views from many windows. Relax in the easy privacy that comes with upper-level end-unit location.
The master bedroom not only overlooks the Lake. You’re right above the Historic Tofte Pier. Many folks crack a window to hear gently lapping sounds of the water.
Tofte Town Park is a quiet place to unwind. It’s an enjoyable, easy stroll to the iconic Americana-ish park situated along the rocky shoreline of Lake Superior.
The Park is kid-friendly, too, easily reached by manicured shoreline and paved Lakeside trail. Frequently there’s interesting action at the boat ramp and Safe Harbor.
Master bedroom, as seen from wet bar. No-hotel-look... relax with comfy hickory chairs and other custom furnishings. Enjoy privacy and views on this "end" unit.
The deck of the master bedroom gets you even closer to the Lake and the Historic Tofte Pier. Sometimes the Lake gets wild, with waves crashing over the pier.
Master bedroom from lakeside windows. No-hotel-look here… proudly using custom furniture by a local artisan, with Lake always visible thanks to a huge mirror.
Besides the Keurig coffee brewer and multiple K-cup flavors… 3 silk-sachet Harney teas or 6 flavors of Land O Lakes Cocoa Classics, with nifty Aroma kettle.

Two words say a lot about the *Premium Home* 14 kitchen: Complete. New. Eating-out options are many, but some guests enjoy a little vacation-time chef-fun.
