First, for recreational equipment — Many resorts in the Lutsen/Tofte area add a “service fee” to the checkout bill — some are currently near 7%! This fee is one of the ways a resort helps to cover the costs of maintaining “free” recreational amenities, such as canoes, kayaks, bikes, skis and other expenses. No service fee is added to your bill as a by-owner rental guest. But it means you will not be able to use rental equipment from Bluefin Bay Resort. Therefore, we’re doing our best to offset this limitation by offering you Guest Appreciation Coupons, which are redeemable for rentals of such items.

So for routine recreational amenities, we’ve made arrangements for you to use these high-value Coupons toward rentals of cross-country & downhill ski gear (better than ‘up the hill’), snowshoes, bikes, canoes, kayaks and more at Sawtooth Outfitters, located across the highway from Cascade Vacation Rentals and Bluefin’s Guest Services building. Sawtooth Outfitters offers many other exclusive services and options as well.
